Money Back Guarantee If our selections do not generate a profit of at least 2 points in a month we don't consider that we deserve your money. We will refund your monthly membership fee for any month that does not exceed 2 points clear profit.
Limited Points Range We will not up our points to levels were they cannot be placed. Our stakes points range from 1 to 3, so the absolute maximum is 6 points on an each way bet. Those of you who have been following our selections will know that 3-point stakes are rare and even 2-point stakes are unusual. Any service can make a profit by continually doubling up stakes until they get a winner - but just think how big your bank would need to be never mind the problem of getting the bets placed.
A Fixed Membership Fee The cost of the service you join at will remain the cost of the service for the entire lifetime that you remain a member.
One Tipping Service We will never launch a "Gold Star/Premium/Special" service. All our horse racing selections will be available on this one service.
To Limit The Number Of Members Those of you who followed the free service will be aware that the majority of selections recently have had a starting price much lower than the expected price. Our published profits are calculated on starting prices. We don't use the trick of using hindsight to use the best possible price available. So our profits are reduced, but more importantly the return to you is lower than it should be.
We intend to start with only 25 members, but it is possible that we may increase this number in the future. If starting prices begin to suffer we will use natural wastage to reduce the number again. Due to pressure from a number of potential subscribers who have followed the free service for some time, we have increased the number of members to 100. We have also reduced the membership fee to £25 per month. Membership fee of subscribers who joined prior to the reduction has been adjusted.
Your Right to Terminate Membership Without Penalty There is no minimum time for membership and there is no termination charge. All you need to do is cancel your standing order with your bank and your membership will cease when your next standing order payment becomes overdue. (It would also be nice if you let us know). Please ensure that you give your bank sufficient notice for cancellation to take place.
We will recommend Losing Bets It is unrealistic to believe that any one of our selections is a nailed on certainty. No such thing exists. Even when information comes to us of a "gamble" you can never rely on a winning bet. The majority of "gambles" actually fail. Horses are not machines. There can be significant changes to the horse, course and race between our assessment in the morning and the off.
What we do promise is that if you follow our selections then you will be in profit in the long run. Just look at our monthly summary for proof. All the selections summarised there have been openly published on the Internet until the commencement of the chargeable service on 1st July 2002.
Not To Pass On Selections Our selections are for your personal use only. You promise not to pass them on to any third party, even your best friend. If we have cause to suspect that you are breaking this rule then we reserve the right to terminate your membership with immediate effect. If this happens to an annual member, then you will be refunded pro-rata for the number of full months left of your membership. There is no point in our restricting the number of members if you are going to expand the number at the expense of us and other members due to lower starting prices.
To Keep Your Log On Details Secure We monitor the site are aware of any unusual activity. This can result in the termination of your membership as above. If you inadvertently divulge your details, then with haste either use the "Amend Your Details" section, or let us know, or do both.
Not To Mention The Race Cracker It is important that our sources of information are protected. You should never say or otherwise imply that you are getting selections from our service. This has the same effect as passing on our selections.
To Distribute Your Bets Do not keep using the same bookie, you will soon find your stakes reduced and then refused. There are numerous alternatives these days. So use them.
Not To Bet More Than You Can Afford To Lose This isn't really our direct concern, but we would feel much better about it if you established a sensible bank and only bet a proportion of it. The usual recommendation is a 20th of your bank for each 1-point stake). We want you with us for the long term, not to be wiped out by a losing run, which WILL occur.
Current Membership Rates The base membership is £25 per month or £250 per annum paid in advance. If you want to be notified by e-mail or by SMS text message there is an additional charge for each of these services of £25 per month or £250 per annum paid in advance.
All payments should be made to Bhlocal.com Ltd. This is the name that will appear on your bank statements. Vat is included in these rates. If you are Vat registered let us know so that you will be able to reclaim the Vat element.
Membership Application Process Click on Join Now and a form for you to enter your choice of Membership ID and Password. You will also need to provide an e-mail address that will be our main point of contact with you. You will be able to request e-mail or SMS text notification. For SMS text we will need your mobile phone number. You will also need to decide on monthly payments or discounted annual payments.
Next will come up a standing order form. You can complete this form and print it, or print it first and complete by hand. It will require your signature. The due date of the standing order is set back 5 days to allow for clearance.
You then need to send the completed standing order form and a cheque for your first payment to the address shown. When your funds have cleared we will e-mail you and you will be able to access the service.
Membership Full If membership is full you will not be able to complete the forms instead you are given the opportunity to e-mail us. We will then contact you when a vacancy occurs in the order which we received these e-mails. We will return your cheque and forms if membership has become full in between your application and receipt by us.
E-Mail and SMS Text Notification These notifications are timed to co-incide with the release time on the web site. If the first notification is returned as not received a second notification is sent.
It is the Member's reponsibilty to ensure that contact details are kept up to date and that the equipment at the receiving end is ready and able to receive the notification. We will not accept responsiblity for a failure in the service.
This service commences 1st August 2002.
Refunds for Months Not Exceeding 2 Points Profit For these months your monthly membership fee will be paid into the bank account used for your standing order within 5 days of the end of the losing month. You need to let us know if your bank details change. We will e-mail you to confirm that a refund has been made.
If you pay annually then the refund will be the equivalent monthly fee without deduction of the annual payment discount.
A pro-rata calculation of the points and refund will be made for the part of the first month you join that your membership was active and for the part of the last month that your membership was active. For example, if your membership is activated on the 20th of a 30 day month (10 days until the end of month) then the profit for that month would have to be 0.67 points (10/30 * 2) or less for you to receive a refund of 10/30ths of your membership fee. All intervening refunds will be based on calendar months and the full monthly membership fee.
